Located in Calgary's Northwest, the Maverick's Football Club trains at John Laurie Park in Edgemont NW. Games are played at the Shouldice Athletic Park.

Teams

The Mavericks Football Club has four (4) full contact tackle football teams within our organization.

We have an Atom team (8-10 yrs old), a PeeWee team (11-12 yrs old), a Bantam team (13-15 yrs old), and a Spring League team (Grades 9-11).

The following equipment will be provided with registration: including helmet, shoulder pads, practice & game jerseys and pants, a belt, and socks.

* Players will need to have girdles, cleats, and mouthguards.

The club does have extra cleats on occasion, please reach out to the Team Manager to discuss.

Our program is dedicated to educating players on the fundamentals of football and physical fitness, while also instilling core values such as teamwork, discipline, respect, and sportsmanship. This provides our players and teams a strong foundation to build upon as they progress through their formative years.

Football is a team sport, and it requires everyone to be engaged on a regular basis - while understanding that many of our players are multi-sport athletes. This not only translates to a better team experience for the player but also creates a safer playing environment for everyone. Our policies regarding attendance are explained at our first parent meeting and also in depth with players.
